Planar Motor Tool

The Planar Motor Tool (PMT) is a graphical user interface application designed to interface with the Planar Motor Controller (PMC). This tool provides the user with real-time visualization of the system and aids the user in configuring the PMC to the desired configuration setting. The PMT can be used in conjunction with a PMC and any preferred user PLC or PC program to simulate the entire plant process flow. This is done by setting the PMC to "emulation mode", in which the controller will emulate the behaviour of a real system without needing to have Flyways connected. Using this mode, the plant process can then be simulated as the controller emulates the performance of a real system, and the PMT provides the real-time visualization.

Additionally, since the emulation uses the same command interface as the real system, any user program developed in emulation mode can be transferred to a real system by simply changing the operation mode in the controller.
