Flyway Offset Configuration
Flyways can be positioned at half-Flyway offsets from each other, as shown below.
Note: The Flyway firmware version should be at least 21-5F and the data version should be at least 23-00 to configure offset Flyways.
The following section will you show how to configure the PMC to this layout using the PMT.
After opening the Configurator:
① Select Layout.
② Change the Grid Size to 120 mm.
Note: Flyway size is 240 mm, therefore changing grid size to 120 mm effectively means that Flyways can be positioned at half-Flyway intervals.
③ Enter the overall length of the system in terms of 120 mm segments. For instance, 10 in the X direction (5 Flyways * 2 * 120 mm) and 6 in the Y direction (3 Flyways * 2 * 120 mm).
④ Hovering the mouse cursor on the grid will show the positions Flyways can snap to.
⑤ Click on the grid to place the Flyways.
Note: If you misclicked on the grid and the Flyway was wrongly positioned, simply click on the Flyway and click on "Remove Selected Flyways" from the Options window. Alternatively, the Delete key can also be used.
⑥ Click on the Flyway to be connected to the PMC, i.e., the bottom left Flyway in this example.
⑦ In the Options window, select "Set as Master Flyway".
⑧ If using a real system, please click on "Open Wiring Diagram".
⑨ The "Layout Wiring Window" will open, detailing how the Flyways must be connected to each other.
⑩ After finalizing all settings, such as XBot home positions and configuration, click "Write to PMC".
Note: if using a real system, a power cycle of the Flyways and PMC is required to apply the new layout.
